Coleman Propane Stove
Next time, make camping enjoyable again. Take along a Coleman propane
stove. Instead of battling wind gusts, open fire pits and wood smoke, you can cook on clean, energy
efficient gas. Propane is a clean fuel. It heats more evenly than wood or charcoal and without the smell of lighter
fluid permeating your meals. Food just tastes better. Besides, with less emissions and lower costs, propane cooking
is not only economical and environmentally friendly, but safer as well. The flames are contained and easy to
control under your pots and pans while being protected from the wind.
Unlike the standard barbeque grills, propane stoves fold up neatly and tuck out of site on a shelf when you don't
need them. That makes them more portable and easy to fit in the trunk or bed of a truck with the rest of your
camping gear. They flip open and set up in a flash, no tools required. The sturdy aluminum case acts as a
windshield so your food cooks steadily and evenly. Many of the Coleman propane stoves come with WindBlock™ panels
to further block those pesky gusts that come rustling through the trees right at cooking time.
You can find The Coleman propane stove in all shapes and sizes. Some fold up and fit in a back pack.
Others have the fuel cylinder neatly stored in the grill well, read to pull out, attach to the regulator and use in
less time than it takes to unroll a bed roll(well, almost). There are two burner models for under $90.00 that can
accommodate up to two 10 inch griddles, and more compact ones for under $60.00. So, you see? Purchasing a Coleman
camping stove doesn't have to break the bank. Save that money for the fishing or hunting gear!
All PerfectFlo ™models come with valves so you can adjust the flames to whatever height you wish. You can simmer chili and stews or boil water for soups and oatmeal,
scramble eggs on medium high and keep the bacon sizzling, too. They also have a sturdy nickel chrome stove
grate that can handle the heaviest cast iron skillet you want to haul. The plate pops out for easy cleaning
and the grease management well catches any boil- overs.
Whether you are in the backyard for a family summer sleep over or with the buddies out in the wilderness, Coleman
propane stoves are the only way to cook. Each has a matchless lighting system. Besides, propane is easy to store in
a cool spot, and lasts in the cylinder a long time. That makes these stoves perfect as a backup in emergency
weather situations as well.
Coleman has tried to lead the way in propane cylinder recycling, however, the industry has not rallied behind this
effort. Still , the patented Green Key system along with instructions for safe disposal ensure once a cylinder is
marked for recycling or disposal, the inserted key cannot be removed. From Coleman.com, here are the instructions
for properly disposing of a 16.4 oz. propane cylinder:
* Take the cylinder outdoors away from any open flame or ignition source. Attach the cylinder to an appliance.
* In an outdoor, well-ventilated area, open the control valve on the appliance and light the burner(s).
* Operate the appliance until the flame completely extinguishes.
* Turn the appliance control valve off and let appliance cool.
* Detach the EMPTY cylinder.
* Insert the green Key and dispose of the EMPTY cylinder in an OUTDOOR trash container for the next normal trash
collection. Following these simple, quick and easy instructions ensures Coleman propane stoves are safer,
more convenient and more environmentally friendly than wood burning or charcoal camp fires.
